Cosmo does not describe himself as a musician. He is a storyteller first and foremost. Over five albums he told stories with his mix of soulful folk and melancholic Americana ballads – most recently on the new album Tributes.
Tributes is Ramirez’ most personal album to date and when he visits Venue later this year it’s with a handful of songs that encapsulate the loneliness of touring life and the yearning home.
After more than 400.000 miles alone on the road Cosmo finally hit the wall. He tried to record a new album, dropped everything and took a break from music.
As a result Tributes has been amlmost three years in the making. Meanwhile Cosmo learned more about himself as a musician and has recorded an album based entirely on instincts.
As part of this process, Cosmo also invited other musicians to join him both in the studio and on stage, so life on tour in the future becomes a little less lonely.
